Day 112 - Philadelphia Songwriters Project Song Contest Finalist

I made an announcement today that I’m a finalist in the Philadelphia Songwriters Project Song Contest. I am hoping my friends and fans will make it out to the show on Sunday, May 19th at The Blockey to help vote for me. There are only 4 slots available and 11 artists from the Philly area who in this competition. Since the audience actually chooses the winners I need all the help I can get. If I win…my band and I will get to play amazing shows and festivals throughout the summer and fall. How can I get you and your friends to attend?

Day 112 – Insane Painting on Building Side

Day 112 - Insane Painting on Building Side

Today I had a show at Temple University. It was an outdoor gig and perfect for my first sunburn of the season. Haha! Just kidding…I didn’t get it too bad. I don’t spend much time in Philly during the day but what I discovered is that they have the most elaborate paintings on the side of their buildings. This painting was on the side of a building that was on a back road. Pretty awesome someone took the time to paint this even though it might not be seen by the masses driving through town. So cool!

Day 125 – Michael Askin

May 6, 2011

I'm Michael Askin...and I'm askin' you to listen to my tunes!

Tonight I went to see my friend Michael Askin play at the Tin Angel in Philadelphia. Joanna Burns and I have a production company (please N thank U productions) and we produced a 4 song EP for Michael this past year. The tracks sound great and I can’t wait to hear them mixed and mastered…I’m sure he can’t wait either. Haha! He had to deal with my grueling tour schedule and Joanna being busy with her album release. So, needless to say, he is a patient guy.

I can’t wait for everyone to hear his EP. I’m really proud of the way it sounds and I can’t wait for him to be able to have new recordings to show off. Gonna be awesome!
